Dragon Ball: The Breakers is fundamentally Dead By Daylight, only with anime supervillains
None, I wasn't expecting to bewitch a trailer for a Dragon Ball-branded twist on terrifying thresh about 'em up Dead By Daytime now either. Just that sure does appear to be the pitch for Bandai Namco's newly announced Dragon Ball: The Breakers.
Pitting 7 civilians against a powerful extraterrestrial Raider, The Breakers tasks survivors with finding and powering up a metre political machine to escape the doomed temporal rift they find themselves in. Similar Dead By Daylight, that means great deal of malingering around and hoping the big unskilled doesn't visit you.
But this is a Dragon Ball game, and skulking doesn't lend itself to bright daft anime spectacle. Character-specific abilities (such as Oolong's shapeshifting), items scattered more or less the map and "Dragon Convert" moves that temporarily imbue you with Goku-like powers give you Windows to fight back.
